Welcome to Lovabye Looms – One of a Kind Handwovens by Serena Gelinas
I think you did a fantastic job. It’s beautiful, thick, no errors that I’ve found, cuddly. It doesn’t sag in the middle around baby bum like Twilight does. I can tell that it will break in beautifully with regular use. This wrap is what people want in a high end twill handwoven. – Kim D.
This wrap is solid. The hemp is extra supportive, but also has a fair amount of stretch. The weave has a great texture. Thus, you have the perfect blend of grip, stretch, and support. The passes glide into place, but aren’t slippery. The wrap is thicker in hand, and feels heavy when you hold it, but is not unwieldy while wrapping. The hemp makes it a sturdy wrap that felt weightless with my over 30 pound two year old. This is definitely a toddler wrap first and foremost, the wrap itself is quite wide and allows my tall two year old a nice deep seat while also allowing her to put her arms in. The wrap is also soft and snuggly, so it would also work for a newborn; but ultimately, it is a toddler wrap due to width.
The colors are gorgeous, the weaving is impeccable. It definitely feels made with love. – Dahlia B.
I tested out a wrap by Loveabye Looms. It was a shorter size 2 wrap. It was nice and airy so great for the warm weather that has started up. It was pretty textured which made it a little more challenging to tie but once tied it was awesome because the knot didn’t slip at all and was very secure. It was comfy tied in a RUB carry. I could see if you have a really big child it may become a bit diggy on the shoulders since it is thinner but for my 13m old 23lb toddler it was quite nice. It had just the right amount of stretch to make it easy to get a carry in but didn’t sag at all. All in all I really enjoyed getting a chance to try out one of her carriers and work with Serena Gelinas, she was a pleasure and her wrap was great too! – Jacquelyn D.
